My Story

I’m Claire from French-matters, your French friend in the U.K.
I am a linguist and a champion for multiculturalism. I want to use my translation skills and work experience to make a difference in your life

I offer translation services between English and French for official documents, correspondance, admin support, websites and more.

I love the Continuing Professional Development and permanent learning process that translation entails.

I also pride myself in being part of my local community and volunteer weekly as a listener at the local primary school to support local pupils with their reading skills in English. I also visit schools and community groups to promote the French language – and any other language learning – through story telling, games or workshops.

Alongside my responsibilities as director of a French supplementary school for children born to French speaking families, I teach the High school class to B2 level and am a qualified examiner and moderator for the DELF exam.

Linguist by birth, project manager by trade, down to earth by nature, I like to find pragmatic solutions which will alleviate the mental strain off your shoulders linked to official documentation.

My mission : bridging the language gap and allowing you to rely on me to fulfill your translation needs.
